The story of the world's richest man Jeff Bezos

Agency. Jeff Bozos is the richest man in the world. In 2017, he became the world’s first cent billionaire. That means a person with a hundred billion dollar network. Now his wealth has increased due to coronavirus. According to a new index released by Bloomberg, Bozos has more than २ 172 billion in assets. He divorced his wife, Mackenzie, last year. Her property was reduced during the divorce. One year after the divorce, she broke her own pre-divorce record just a few weeks ago.

Much of it comes from Amazon, of which he is the CEO. In addition, he has many other businesses. He owns the Washington Post, Amazon’s Whole Foods Company, and Space Explosion Company Blue Origin. The list of such companies is very long. But Bezos’ life is full of contradictions. Bezos, a lover of software and various subjects, is known for taking care of his clients. But he is accused of ignoring his own employees.

He has been criticized for his efforts related to charity. But he seems determined to save the earth. Like his Silicon Valley counterpart Elon Musk, he considers it his moral responsibility to invest in space. But in a world far away from the sky, he is surrounded. In the wake of the epidemic, Amazon’s response to its employees led its vice president to resign. For this he now has many options to do. Among all these things there are some other things connected with Bezos, which you may not know. Jeff learned to use technology when he was only three years old. He had mastered engineering at an early age.

He used an electric alarm to keep his siblings out of his room. When he was ten years old, he told his grandmother that one day his life was being cut short by smoking. Her grandmother was sad to hear that. At that moment, his grandfather took him to another corner and reminded him, “One day you will know that it is more embarrassing to be kind than to be clever.” The same is true of Jeff’s public character. He is less kind and more clever. His throw at Amazon’s Matrix shows the same thing. He is crazy about Matrix. Initially, Amazon’s bosses would ask interviewers for test scores themselves and raise the level of scores needed for employment.

When Amazon’s talent pool began to grow, low scorers were fired. Employees of Amazon Warehouse complain that toilet time is also noticed on Amazon. Electrical workstations are built to monitor employees to see if they are packing enough boxes. But Jeff’s obsession with the Matrix also underscores Amazon’s amazing way of doing business. When it comes to low profits, Wall Street is always in a bad mood. “When the stock price was going in the wrong direction, everything in the company was going in the right direction,” says Jeff.

But Jeff doesn’t always like turtles. His focus was on re-investing in the company and expanding the company. He had long believed that his plans would one day succeed. One of the things that makes him extraordinary is his culture. Amazon’s culture is not for the faint of heart. Jeff always did things differently on Amazon. He opened a bookstore in a garage in 1994. They thought that 70 percent of the initial investment would fail. Since then, he has created many rules, laws and cultures that may seem different to the outside world.

Don’t even think about using PowerPoint when giving a presentation on Amazon. There is a complete ban on PowerPoint. Everyone reads and discusses what is written in detail. Amazon doesn’t like big teams either. In fact, every team like them should be so small that they can easily fill their stomachs in two pizzas. Jeff says, ‘One of the most important things in Amazon’s work is to make the most of the customer experience. ’

Jeff is always ready to talk about customer objections. He sends the complaints of such service recipients to his staff, which has a question mark. This means that they should leave what they are doing and pay attention to the complaints of the service recipients. At Amazon, employees are encouraged to rate each other. At the same time, everyone is expected to adopt the 14 principles of leadership. This includes the tendency to criticize others without hesitation.

When the New York Times published an article about the company’s bullying, Jeff wrote a memo to his staff. Jeff has also faced a lot of criticism from leaders. In 2018, President Donald Trump criticized Jeff for taking the opposite step to avoid taxes and competition in business. As a result, Amazon’s share price fell 9 percent at the time. Jeff’s own fortune also fell by ten billion dollars. Amazon’s business was later restored.

Criticism of Amazon continued. The same is found in Senator Bernie Sander’s Stop Bezos Act. Jeff responded by raising his salary to डलर 15. Bezos and Amazon are moving forward now. Jeff has taken a dramatic U-turn to hide his criticism. He cleverly responded to criticism in 2018 for not giving money to charity. He donated 2 billion through his Bezos Day One fund. The charity was started by his ex-wife and author Mackenzie Bezos.

He has big plans in the field of space. Jeff has been adding 1 billion to his Blue Origin company every year. Jeff had been dreaming of humanity since his high school days. Like Elon Musk, he is building a rocket. If you can miraculously land yourself upright, it can be used again and again and will be very economical. Unlike Musk, he is not running towards his goal, but is quietly advancing his plan step by step.

This is the motto of the Gladiator Fellow caster, ‘Step by step, every step is serious’, Blue Origin, and Jeff lives his life following this law. He is building a special ten-thousand-year-old clock in the mountains in his range in Texas, which shows his long-term thinking. Bezos conquered the retail arena with this thoughtful and secretive strategy. Hopefully, he will conquer the sky in the same way.

"Nectar Digit", emerging in the IT sector

In recent times, service providers have begun to take security along with quality, albeit in small numbers. Nectar Digit Private Limited, a company founded by Amrit Sparsh, is one of the insignificant number of such companies.

Nectar, which provides services ranging from web development, mobile app development, digital marketing, search engine optimization, branding to security, provides all-in-one packages under one umbrella.

Companies working in the field of technology are emerging in Nepal. The number of companies is also limited and these companies also provide services under a certain title. But Amrit’s company provides all these services under one roof.

Our service is an all-in-one package, ‘says Amrit.

He further said, “Any company working with us has a problem with CCTV, they can contact us even if they have to build an internal network.” Nectar said it would not work on any product sales and hardware supply, but on software.

“We do everything from maintaining servers like Linux and Windows to internal networking, security and Cisco Juniper router management,” he said. As many services are provided under one roof, the service recipients from Nectar can also get additional facilities, says Amrit. He said that they are also working in the field of disaster recovery

Kapil Vastu, who has a bachelor’s degree in computer science, is the founder and CEO of Amrit Sparsh Nector Digit. Amrit, who started his IT career from Nepal by being affiliated with Malaysian company Air Asia, has also worked in Dubai as a project manager and senior developer in the IT sector. He worked at the server level in Dubai for a year and a half.

“After working in Dubai for one and a half years, I have worked for 12 to 20 hours,” says Amrit. Returning to Nepal to do something, Amrit founded Nectar Digit Company alone from 2018.

Nectar’s rise in the field of IT is encouraging. Nector is now using various software to track the work. There is no shortage of work and projects. However, he complained that his company was also affected by the problem of payment from the client while working.

Loan for entrepreneurial youth at 2% interest

Preparations have reached the final stage to provide concessional loans to support the efforts of the youth who are interested in entrepreneurship by using new concept skills and technology in the field of entrepreneurship.

Under the leadership of the National Planning Commission, preparations have been made to provide Rs. 500 million in innovative starting capital at 2 percent interest rate this year.

The commission had formulated the procedure to provide the grant as the innovative starting capital in the last fiscal year but the plan is not to get much return from the amount of the grant.

The proposal to amend the rules of procedure is yet to be approved by the Council of Ministers, said Ram Kumar Phuyal, a member of the commission. 699 individuals and organizations who want to start innovative industries and businesses have already submitted proposals to the commission, but since those proposers have applied for grants, they have to submit revised proposals for loans.

The commission is ready to complete this process within 15 days. There is some injustice in re-applying for a loan as you have applied for a grant. The commission has stated that it will publish the amendment notice with additional procedure as soon as the procedure is amended. New applicants will also be able to apply during this period.

According to the proposed procedure, the loan will be available up to 50 percent of the amount invested in the enterprise. They will get a loan at the rate of 2 percent on the innovative seed capital in schemes ranging from Rs 1 million to Rs 10 million.

Loan for entrepreneurial youth at 2% interest

The loan commission has already coordinated with Nepal Rastra Bank. We have made it a modality for entrepreneurs to get loans at 2 percent, ‘said Phuyal.’ NRB will give the responsibility of managing this loan to one of the banks. ‘

According to him, the details will be sent to the bank after identifying the eligible applicants. The Planning Commission plans to provide the loan amount in three installments for a period of four and a half years. According to the nature of the industry, the concerned ministry will provide its monitoring and assistance and the ministry will send the details to the commission.

Accordingly, the role of the Ministry of Industry will be more in this. Phuyal claims that even though the current budget ceiling is Rs 500 million, additional budget will be provided if a good plan is made. The government is adamant that new entrepreneurial thinking should not be wasted, he said, adding, “The government will support people with entrepreneurial ability, experience and knowledge.”

It is mentioned that the commission will provide this amount as seed capital on the basis of implementation capacity, financial discipline and allocation efficiency. This news is published in Gorkhapatra daily.
