Eastern University will conduct undergraduate and postgraduate examinations under the semester system through alternative methods during the Kovid epidemic. As per the decision of the Academic Council on Sunday and the Executive Council on Monday, the university will conduct the examination as ‘Time Bound Home Exam’ from the first week of September.
According to the university, the examination will be conducted in such a way that the question papers will be made available through email and the students will submit the answer books through email within a certain time. The registration number, roll number and necessary instructions of the student provided by the Examination Management Office will be communicated to the entire student by the Central Chairperson five days before the commencement of the examination.
Similarly, the question papers as per the examination schedule will be sent to the official email ID of the concerned campus (Central Chairperson) at least 30 minutes before the time of conducting the examination. The questioan paper will be sent by the head of the center to the examinee’s email 15 minutes in advance.
The university has stated that the candidates who have not filled the examination form will not be allowed to participate in the examination. Each candidate should provide his / her official email ID to his / her campus 10 days before the start of the exam. The campus will provide the question paper in the same email ID.
Candidates will have to send the scan and photo of the answer sheet to the official email of their campus and college within the stipulated period. In order to participate in this type of examination, the examinee himself / herself will have to arrange the necessary materials such as full scale paper, four size photocopy paper, black pen, internet and electricity.
It is mentioned in the information issued by the Examination Management Office of the University that the candidates can participate in the examination from the place of their residence. Students who cannot participate in the examination conducted under this method will be allowed to participate in the next examination as regular candidates.
