5 Reasons for slow internet

Customers never seem to be satisfied with internet service. This dissatisfaction is on the rise. Negative comments and abusive comments about Internet service providers are appearing on social media.

The most common reasons for your slow internet connections:
1. Your Wi-Fi offers extensive coverage but, it can weaken your connection performance. Distance lowers your Wi-Fi signal and penetrates the ceiling and walls of the home, causing problems for the Wi-Fi signal.

To get rid of this problem you can connect your device to your router using an Ethernet cable. Test the speed now and you will be happy with the result. In addition, you can improve the WiFi performance by placing the router in the center of your home. It is better to keep it in an open, downward position. But never hide it in a narrow place.

2. The internet is for sharing and use. So you share it with your friends and family. But while sharing, don’t forget that Wi-Fi has its own limitations on how many devices it will flood. When your broadband is being shared with many people, then this internet is being used for various purposes. Such as video streaming, online gaming, etc. It consumes a lot of bandwidth. As a result, the overall performance of WiFi is affected.

Test your broadband speed two to three times a day. You will find that when very few people are using the internet, then your net is working at a very fast speed. But the fiber broadband package can support many connections well. It works better than standard broadband ADSL. It does not harm the speed and overall performance.

3. Not only the distance but also the location of the router is another factor that affects the connection performance by affecting the signal of your WiFi. Apart from this, the distance between the nearest telephone exchange and the active street distribution cabinet is another factor.

At these points your information can be accessed online or uploaded to the Internet. The farther you go from these points, the weaker your connection becomes. A quick web search will show you the nearest telephone exchange location.

4. If your WiFi password is secure, a neighbor can’t steal it. But you are sharing network infrastructure. Which also gives coverage to your road and surrounding area. The technology is the same as sharing the Internet with your family. But the Internet infrastructure that is shared with neighbors has a lot of potential on a large scale.

When more people are online in your area or on the street, the demand for the network increases exponentially. In this case, the speed may be disturbed.

5. Sometimes the main reason for your sluggish broadband can be your service provider. Your provider’s traffic management policy also controls your usage. If so, you do not have a solution to this problem. In that case go to your provider and request a possible solution. Even so, if you are not satisfied with the old service provider, you are free to go to another service provider.

After Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) game developers recently launched the official trailer of PUBG Mobile 2 or PUBG: New State, there were speculations on the return of PUBG Mobile India, which is banned in the country since September 2020 due privacy and national security concerns.

Besides that, the game was also listed on the Google Play Store for pre-registration, while the pre-order for the Apple App Store will be opening soon. The social media post about the announcement read, “Coming in 2021, PUBG: NEW STATE features the most realistic battle royale experience you will find on mobile. Players will be able to drop in and explore a new map that expands the lore, experience graphics that push the limits of mobile gaming, master the best and most dynamic gunplay on the market, and enjoy next-generation survival features that evolve the battlegrounds.”

However, now it looks like the game isn’t going to come back anytime soon. The social media post about the announcement read, “Coming in 2021, PUBG: NEW STATE features the most realistic battle royale experience you will find on mobile. Players will be able to drop in and explore a new map that expands the lore, experience graphics that push the limits of mobile gaming, master the best and most dynamic gunplay on the market, and enjoy next-generation survival features that evolve the battlegrounds.” However, this is not for Indian users as the game is banned in the country. When they visit the game’s page on the Google Play Store, they will receive an error.

Artificial Intelligence(AI)

Published

on

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a wide-ranging branch of computer science concerned with building smart machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. AI is an interdisciplinary science with multiple approaches, but advancements in machine learning and deep learning are creating a paradigm shift in virtually every sector of the tech industry.  “AI is a computer system able to perform tasks that ordinarily require human intelligence. Many of these artificial intelligence systems are powered by machine learning, some of them are powered by deep learning and some of them are powered by very boring things like rules.”

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE EXAMPLES

  • Smart assistants (like Siri and Alexa)
  • Disease mapping and prediction tools
  • Manufacturing and drone robots
  • Optimized, personalized healthcare treatment recommendations
  • Conversational bots for marketing and customer service
  • Robo-advisors for stock trading
  • Spam filters on email
  • Social media monitoring tools for dangerous content or false news
  • Song or TV show recommendations from Spotify and Netflix

Artificial intelligence generally falls under two broad categories:

1.Narrow Artificial Intelligence:-

Narrow AI is all around us and is easily the most successful realization of artificial intelligence to date. With its focus on performing specific tasks, Narrow AI has experienced numerous breakthroughs in the last decade that have had “significant societal benefits and have contributed to the economic vitality of the nation,” according to “Preparing for the Future of Artificial Intelligence,” a 2016 report released by the Obama Administration.

A few examples of Narrow AI include:

  • Google search
  • Image recognition software
  • Siri, Alexa and other personal assistants
  • Self-driving cars
  • IBM’s Watson

2.Artificial General Intelligence:-

The creation of a machine with human-level intelligence that can be applied to any task is the Holy Grail for many AI researchers, but the quest for AGI has been fraught with difficulty. AGI has long been the muse of dystopian science fiction, in which super-intelligent robots overrun humanity, but experts agree it’s not something we need to worry about anytime.

The virtual digital assistants have changed the way w do our daily tasks. Alexa and Siri have become like real humans we interact with each day for our every small and big need. The natural language abilities and the ability to learn themselves without human interference are the reasons they are developing so fast and becoming just like humans in their interaction only more intelligent and faster. AI makes every process better, faster, and more accurate. It has some very crucial applications too such as identifying and predicting fraudulent transactions, faster and accurate credit scoring, and automating manually intense data management practices. Artificial Intelligence improves the existing process across industries and applications and also helps in developing new solutions to problems that are overwhelming to deal with manually.

Update of Internet service to 5G(NTC)

Published

Last year MoCIT had directed Nepal Telecom to include 4 cities for a 5G trail in its 4G deal. We suppose they already made a provision on the 5G part being in line with the directives from MoCIT.  Finally, Nepal Telecom is starting a Feasibility study of 5G Technology in Big cities of Nepal soon. Telecom will test this super-fast network in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Biratnagar & Birgunj in the first phase.

Although people have started speculating the 5G network in Nepal, it seems to be a very early stage as the regular NTA had no preparations for assigning the 5G spectrum band, one of the key requirements to roll out 5G. There are beliefs that Nepal cannot afford 5G for now due to the huge investment. Similarly, some people opine that the country is not ready for 5G due to the limitation of its uses. Some even go further to say Nepal does not 5G at all for 5 years. But as people blame telecom companies to bring 4G late here in Nepal, it is high time that we start discussing 5G. The time has come for the whole telecom industry in Nepal including telecom companies, vendors and the regulator prepare well in advance for the 5G network, including the allocation of 5G spectrum band.
In the present time, many mobile phones are launch with the support feature of the fastest internet service which is 5G in Nepal also. So, to use the feature of 5G Nepal telecom bring the 5G service in it. At first, it tries in 4 cities then it boosts its service all the cities of Nepal.
